CSS examination to start on February 15

The application form, rules and syllabi will be available from October 1, 2013 on production of the original treasury receipt of Rs2,200 at FPSC head office, provincial offices, regional offices and FPSC information centres, says a press release issued by the FPSC.
The application from can also be downloaded from FPSC website: fpsc.gov.pk. The closing date for submission of application is October 31, 2013, it added.
The examination is being conducted for recruitment to posts in BS-17 in occupational groups and services including Commerce & Trade Group, Pakistan Administrative Service (erstwhile DMG), Foreign Service of Pakistan, Information Group, Inland Revenue Service, Military Lands & Cantonment Group, Office Management Group, Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, Pakistan Customs Service, Police Service of Pakistan, Postal Group and Railways (Commercial and Transportation) Group.
The 21 cities where the examination centres will be established are Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, DI Khan, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Larkana, Multan, Muzaffarabad, Okara, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sialkot and Sukkur.
Both male and female including disabled persons having at least second division Bachelor's Degree between the ages of 21 to 28 years on December 31, 2013 are eligible, however, the upper age limit may be relaxed by two years in the categories mentioned in rule-3 of CSS CE Rules 2014 provided with the application form, subject to fulfillment of documentary requirements.
It says the federal government has reserved 10 per cent of the vacancies for women and 5 per cent for the minorities.
The candidates have been advised that attested copies of required documents, photographs and treasury receipt in original must be attached with the application form. The news
